Kamila Castro Grokoski
PhD student

Kamila completed her Master’s Degree in Pediatrics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), where she studied the feeding behavior and metabolism in patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
In the last three years, she was a FRAXA (Fragile X Syndrome Research Foundation) fellow in Bordeaux (France) investigating brain connectivity and treatment efficacy in mouse models for Fragile X syndrome using MRI.
She is will now investigate specific cellular mechanisms underlying brain metabolism in neurodevelopment disorders such as ASD and FXS.
