Physician, Head of the gynecology Service
with an Associate or Full Professor title
at the Woman-Mother-Child Department (DFME)

The mission of CHUV's gynecology Service is to provide care for women (including young girls and adolescents) throughout their reproductive lives, at the time of menopause and during the post-menopausal period. Our medical activities are wide-ranging and specialized, covering the treatment of gynecological pathologies (with possible surgical procedures), the medical and surgical care of gynecological cancers (onco-gynecology), benign and malignant breast diseases (senology), reproductive, fertility and menopausal disorders (reproductive medicine), as well as problems of urinary incontinence and organ descent (uro-gynecology). Various psychosocial medicine consultations are provided to complement our gynecology and obstetrics services. They offer one-off advice or long-term support in cases of major psychological or social issues. Finally, the Service and Department are committed to developing research that ensures quality control of clinical work, provides ongoing training for staff and promotes medical advances likely to improve healthcare. In addition, the proximity of the various faculties of UNIL and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), as well as the presence of numerous companies, stimulates reflection, collaboration and ongoing research.
