Associate Professor or Full Professor

in environmental health within Unisanté

 

Starting date: to be agreed                                                Place: Lausanne, Switzerland

 

The incumbent will lead clinical, teaching and research activities of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health (DSTE) of Unisanté in the field of environmental health. Professional activity being one of the components of the environment conditioning our health, occupational medicine is included in the area of this position.

 

The successful candidate will stimulate and develop competitive research, supervise the medical activity and actively participate in the health promotion activities of the Department and ensure the management of its Unit.

 

The ideal profile is a doctor trained in occupational medicine, general medicine or public health, able to report recognized research in the field of prevention and management of health problems linked to environmental determinants in different living environments (general and / or professional). This person demonstrates a great ability to interact proactively with institutional and field stakeholders in environmental health.

 

Desired profile:

  • Federal diploma in medicine or title recognized by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions (Mebeko)
  • MD or MD-PhD
  • ISFM specialist title or equivalent titles recognized by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (Mebeko) in in occupational medicine, general medicine (general internal medicine) or public health medicine
  • Several years of practical experience in the field of environmental medicine, including working conditions
  • Academic knowledge of faculty rank with proven practice in pre and postgraduate teaching
  • Ability to set up clinical research programs likely to be supported by expert external funds
  • Professional background in the areas of organization, interdisciplinary collaboration and networks, as well as in human resources management
  • Proficiency in French (at least level B2, C1 ideally) or ability to acquire it quickly

 

Academic rank will depend on the experience and achievements of the candidate.
