<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Le D&eacute;partement des sciences biom&eacute;dicales (<a href="https://www.unil.ch/dsb/en/home.html">DSB</a>) est le principal centre d\'activit&eacute;s de recherche de la FBM sur les maladies m&eacute;taboliques, cardiovasculaires et r&eacute;nales, la m&eacute;decine r&eacute;g&eacute;n&eacute;rative et le vieillissement &agrave; Lausanne. Il constitue un site privil&eacute;gi&eacute; d\'interactions avec les Services cliniques de l\'H&ocirc;pital universitaire (<a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/chuv-home">CHUV</a>). Le D&eacute;partement comprend plus de 150 scientifiques qui utilisent une vari&eacute;t&eacute; de mod&egrave;les de recherche pour &eacute;tudier les m&eacute;canismes biologiques r&eacute;gissant le fonctionnement du corps humain et impliqu&eacute;s dans l\'apparition des maladies humaines. En plus de sa mission de recherche, le DSB joue un r&ocirc;le central dans l\'enseignement de la physiologie, de la pharmacologie, de l\'histologie, de la toxicologie et de la biologie cellulaire aux &eacute;tudiants en biologie et en m&eacute;decine. Les chercheurs ont acc&egrave;s &agrave; des installations de pointe, notamment une plateforme de cellules souches et d\'organo&iuml;des et des installations de microscopie &eacute;lectronique (<a href="https://dci-lausanne.ch/">Centre d&rsquo;Imagerie Dubochet</a>).</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Department of Biomedical Sciences (<a href="https://www.unil.ch/dsb/home.html">DBS</a>) is the main center for research activities in metabolic, cardiovascular and renal diseases, as well as regenerative medicine and aging in Lausanne. We occupy a privileged site on the University Hospital campus (<a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/chuv-home">CHUV</a>), allowing for close interactions with the Clinical Services. The department hosts more than 150 scientists who use a variety of research models to study the biological mechanisms governing human physiology and disease. In addition to its research mission, the DBS plays a central role in teaching physiology, pharmacology, histology, toxicology and cell biology to biology and medical students. Researchers have access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including a stem cell and organoid facility and electron microscopy facilities (such as <a href="https://dci-lausanne.ch/">the Dubochet Center</a>).</span></p>

<li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Conduct independent and innovative fundamental or translational research in the biomedical field, financed by external funds and published under the DORA principles</span></li>
