Executive Physician with an Associate Professor title

in pediatric dermatology

within the Division of Dermatology and Venereology

The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of the Pediatric Dermatology Unit and the supervision of the staff. She/He will guarantee high-quality care for children with skin diseases, both on an outpatient and inpatient basis. Under the supervision of the Head of Division, she/he will also be involved in teaching and research in pediatric dermatology.

The Unit is attached to the Division of Dermatology and Venereology  and is part of the Department of Medicine, while the main clinical activity will take place at the CHUV's new Children's Hospital, in collaboration with the Pediatrics Division of the Woman-Mother-Child Department. Main missions:

  • Coordination and management of children's skin disorders in outpatient and inpatient care.
  • Administrative management of the Pediatric Dermatology Unit.
  • Scientific research in the field of pediatric dermatology.
  • Pre- and post-graduate teaching and continuing education in pediatric dermatology.
  • Participation in congresses and scientific training societies to raise the Unit's visibility.

Desired profile:

  • Federal medical diploma (or equivalent recognized by MEBEKO), MD or MD-PhD.
  • Specialist title in dermatology and venereology (ISFM or equivalent recognized by MEBEKO).
  • Specialized training and/or in-depth experience in pediatric dermatology (> 5 years).
  • Professorial-level academic knowledge with a proven track record in university teaching and the ability to set up clinical research programs that can be supported by expert external funding.
  • Good knowledge of French (LM or minimum B2, C1 ideal) or ability to acquire it rapidly.
  • Preference will be given to a personality open to communication and cooperation, capable of stimulating young colleagues destined for a hospital-academic career.
