<p style="text-align: justify;">Le <a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/otr/otr-home"><em>Service d&rsquo;orthop&eacute;die et de traumatologie</em></a>, rattach&eacute; au <a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/dal/dal-home">D&eacute;partement de l\'appareil locomoteur</a>, est sp&eacute;cialis&eacute; dans la prise en charge de l\'ensemble des affections traumatiques et d&eacute;g&eacute;n&eacute;ratives de l\'appareil locomoteur de l&rsquo;adulte : &eacute;paules et membres sup&eacute;rieurs, hanches, genoux, chevilles et pieds.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">En tant que service universitaire, reconnu comme &eacute;tablissement de formation postgradu&eacute;e pour l&rsquo;obtention du titre de sp&eacute;cialiste ISFM en chirurgie orthop&eacute;dique et traumatologie, il est fortement impliqu&eacute; dans l&rsquo;enseignement&nbsp;et participe &eacute;galement &agrave; la <a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/otr/otr-home/formation/formation-continue">formation continue</a>&nbsp;des sp&eacute;cialistes. De plus, le Service OTR contribue largement &agrave; l&rsquo;enseignement aux professions param&eacute;dicales (HES, physioth&eacute;rapie, ergoth&eacute;rapie, soins infirmiers, techniciens en salle d&rsquo;op&eacute;ration, etc.). Enfin, s&rsquo;y d&eacute;veloppe une importante activit&eacute; de recherche incluant des &eacute;tudes cliniques, des activit&eacute;s de recherche fondamentale et translationnelle, allant de l\'analyse des m&eacute;canismes mol&eacute;culaires et cellulaires au niveau osseux et cartilagineux &agrave; l\'&eacute;tude de nouveaux implants articulaires, afin de d&eacute;velopper de nouvelles strat&eacute;gies pour le diagnostic, le suivi et le traitement modernes des maladies ost&eacute;oarticulaires.</p>

<li>Diriger, organiser et assurer le d&eacute;veloppement de toutes les activit&eacute;s typiques d&rsquo;un Service clinique dans un h&ocirc;pital universitaire</li>
<li>Assurer et renforcer l\'expertise et la s&eacute;curit&eacute; des missions cliniques/prestations de service tout en d&eacute;veloppant des collaborations et synergies interinstitutionnelles en lien avec le plan strat&eacute;gique du CHUV</li>
<li>Conduire et d&eacute;velopper les missions de recherche clinique et acad&eacute;mique de haut niveau, financ&eacute;es par des fonds externes expertis&eacute;s et publi&eacute;es dans des journaux scientifiques de qualit&eacute;, y compris sa propre recherche</li>
<li>Assurer et garantir les missions de formation pr&eacute;gradu&eacute;e (selon les besoins FBM), postgradu&eacute;e (centre de formation ISFM cat. A1) et continue dans le domaine de la discipline en y assumant la fonction de responsable de discipline et en y participant</li>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/otr/otr-home">The Orthopaedics and Traumatology Service</a>, which is part of the <a href="https://www.chuv.ch/fr/otr/otr-home">Department of musculoskeletal system</a>, specializes in the treatment of all traumatic and degenerative conditions of the adult musculoskeletal system: shoulders and upper limbs, hips, knees, ankles and feet.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As a university service, recognized as a postgraduate training establishment for the ISFM specialist title in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology, it is heavily involved in teaching and also participates in the continuing education of specialists. In addition, the OTR Service makes a major contribution to the teaching of paramedical professions (HES, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, operating room technicians, etc.). Finally, an important research activity is being developed, including clinical studies, fundamental and translational research activities, ranging from the analysis of molecular and cellular mechanisms at the bone and cartilage level to the study of new joint implants, to develop new strategies for the diagnosis, follow-up, and modern treatment of osteoarticular diseases.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Main missions:</strong></p>

<li>Lead, organize and ensure the development of all activities typical of a Clinical Service in a university hospital.</li>
<li>Ensure and reinforce the expertise and safety of clinical missions/services while developing inter-institutional collaborations and synergies in line with the CHUV strategic plan.</li>
<li>Conduct and develop high level clinical and academic research missions, financed by external funds and published in quality scientific journals, including its own research.</li>
<li>Ensure and guarantee the missions of pre-graduate training (according to FBM needs), post-graduate training (ISFM training center cat. A1) and continuing education in the field of the discipline by assuming the function of discipline manager and by participating in it.</li>
<li>Consolidate the influence of the clinical and academic field both internally and externally.</li>
