 Tenure track assistant towards Associate Professor for Advanced Nursing Practice

 at the Institute for Higher Education and Research in Health Care – IUFRS

Starting date: February 2025 or to be agreed

Excellence in health care education and research constitutes the core mission of IUFRS. In its areas of expertise – nursing and health sciences – the Institute offers state of the art education at master's and doctoral level and conducts internationally renowned research. Thereby, it aims at training and developing nursing talent at university-level that prepares its students for key roles in practice, education and research. In all its endeavors, IUFRS focuses on safety and quality of care for patients, families and relatives center stage and assumes evidence-based nursing practice and scientific rigor as foundational principles.

The successful candidate will work closely with the directorate to ensure an effective management and efficient functioning of the institute.

To continue carrying out this mission effectively, the Institute is looking for a nurse scientist in advanced nursing practice with the following profile:

• PhD in nursing science

• Experience and strong interest in teaching (2nd and 3rd cycle) as well as in continuing education, particular in the domain of advanced nursing practice

• Research program oriented towards the development and implementation of advanced nursing practice

• Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills

• Successful management of several large-scale research projects

• Evidenced record in raising third-party research funds

• Strong publication record in refereed journals and other research dissemination activities

• Interest in interdisciplinary research and interprofessional collaboration

• Excellent familiarity of the Swiss health care system at cantonal and national level and solid familiarity with the international policy of advanced nursing practice

• Proficiency in French (level at least B2, C1 ideally) or ability to acquire it quickly

• Proficiency in English.
