Head Physician and Associate Professor in geriatrics

within the geriatrics and geriatric rehabilitation Service

The geriatrics and geriatric rehabilitation Service (GER) is looking for a Head Physician and Associate Professor for its acute senior’s care Unit. The aim is to develop the Unit through clinical research projects, with a view to expanding support methods and developing ambulatory activity, training and planning.

Main missions:

  • Contribute to the management of the Service by defining clinical development objectives in line with the Service's strategy.
  • Manage a Unit while developing and maintaining leading-edge clinical expertise in geriatrics.
  • Develop the Service's teaching activities.
  • Manage clinical development and research projects.

Desired profile:

  • Federal medical diploma (or Mebeko recognized title required) MD or MD-PhD.
  • ISFM specialist in internal medicine with experience in geriatrics (or equivalent Mebeko recognized titles required).
  • Extensive and recognized clinical experience in geriatrics.
  • Experience in management, project management and team management; experience in business management would be an asset.
  • Academic knowledge of professorial rank with a proven track record in pre- and post-graduate, continuing and professorial teaching.
  • Ability to set up basic, translational and clinical research programs likely to be supported by expert external funding.
  • Good French knowledge (LM or minimum B2, C1 ideally) or ability to acquire it quickly.
