Alvaro Nuno Perez
PhD student

Alvaro Nuno joined the laboratory of Dr. Manuel Mameli to start his PhD as part of the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School. He previously accomplished the master’s in molecular neurosciences at the University of Amsterdam, where he consolidated a background in both molecular biology and electrophysiology, investigating the role of oxytocin during cortical development. Alvaro is currently combining electrophysiology and optogenetic-assisted mapping to understand the input-specific properties of glutamatergic transmission onto lateral habenula neurons.
