Rémi Mathieu
Trainee

Rémi obtained an engineering diploma from AgroParisTech, Paris Institute for life, food and environmental sciences. He also obtained a master’s degree in Neuroscience from Pierre-et-Marie-Curie University. He joined the Neurobiology institute of the Mediterranean (Aix-Marseille University) where he worked on the allocation of interneuron subtypes to specific cortical layers in mammals by studying NeuroD2 KO mice. He is currently a PhD student in the same institute under the supervision of Antoine de Chevigny and he still works on the issues of allocating interneuron subtypes. He is presently in the Ludovic Telley’s Lab in a collaborative project in which he will analyze transcriptomic data to better understand how interneurons are allocated to specific cortical layers.
