Maria receives the « Best Poster Award » at the EMBO Workshop

Among 49 posters from Ph.D. students and PostDocs from 19 different countries, the poster of Maria received a lot of attention and was voted 2nd place by all attendees. Congratulations, Maria!

4th EMBO Workshop « Mechanisms of neuronal remodelling » took place in Nahsholim Israel

The workshop attracted world experts sharing their latest unpublished data and fostered interaction among trainees and experts. Some stats: 107 participants from 19 countries (60% females), including 24 % speakers, 24 % academics, 17 % PostDocs, and 34 % MSc & Ph.D. students. The speaker lineup was well-balanced, represented by 46 % female speakers.

Or latest publication about NAD+ metabolism and axon degeneration in the fruit fly in eLife

We combined metabolomics, genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and even behavior to identify nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) as a pro-degenerative metabolite in axons in the fruit fly.
