The Smith laboratory at TU Delft in the Netherlands develops high-end super-resolution microscopy combined with artificial Intelligence for quantitative bioimaging to observe single molecules.

 

In this study–spearheaded by the Smith laboratory–fly brains were imaged by a novel technology. Sensorless adaptive optics (AO) with single-objective lens inclined light sheet microscope (SOLEIL), termed (AO-SOLEIL) facilitates the identification of sub-cellular structures in deeper tissue.
