Mélanie Price-Hirt
Senior scientist

Melanie obtained a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Dundee, and PhD in molecular genetics in the lab of Prof Alec Jeffreys at the University of Leicester. After a post-doctoral fellowship at EMBL funded by an EMBO grant on tissue specific gene expression and developmental neurobiology, Melanie came to Switzerland as a Maître-assistante at UNIGE and then obtained a Marie Heim Vögtlin grant for a post-doc with Jovan Mirkovitch on promoter structure analysis in EBV-derived episomes at ISREC. Since then she is a senior scientist in the stroke lab CHUV, hosted by the DNF.
