Tara Canonica
Post-doctoral fellow
Tara started with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then carried out a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics, at the University of Zurich. She then moved to the UK to carry out her PhD at Cardiff University, where she studied cognitive function and hippocampal glutamate receptor expression in transgenic mouse models of Down Syndrome, in collaboration with the UCL. Tara joined the Volterra lab to study the role of astrocytes in hippocampus-dependent memory formation.
