Gil’s paper on a thalamic reticular circuit for spatial navigation now published in Cell Reports

The first observations on presubicular afferents to the thalamic reticular nucleus were done by the Marie-Heim-Vögtlin Grantee Zita Rovó who aimed to identify novel afferents into the anterior TRN. Gil carried out all in vitro and in vivo functional analyses, with the help of several talented Master students and stagiaires: Angelo, Georgia and Virginie. And Elidie helped all along the way with precision injections, taking care of swimming mice, with analysis and microscopy! Last but not least, Romain’s ingenious automatization of the Water Maze made all the difference!
