Georgios Foustoukos
Post-doctoral fellow

Georgios has obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He then joined the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and finished a second M.Sc. in Life Sciences and Technologies with an orientation in Neuroscience and Neuroengineering. Then, he earned his Ph.D in Neuroscience at EPFL under the supervision of Prof. Carl Petersen studying the role of barrel cortex in the learning of simple sensorimotor goal-directed transformations.
In January 2022, he joined the Lüthi Lab as a post-doc in order to study the role of the noradrenergic system in sleep, using state-of-the-art optical imaging techniques
