Jean-Pierre Hornung
Full professor

Prof Hornung obtained his PhD (Prof. L. Garey’s lab, 1981) from the Department of Anatomy of the University of Lausanne, and performed his postdoctoral training in the Neurobiology Department at Harvard Medical School (Prof Torsten Wiesel’s lab), working on cortical connectivity in the visual cortex of the cat. He returned to Lausanne to initiate studies on the serotonergic system in collaboration with Prof. I. Törk. He was awarded Full Professor in Morphology and Neuroscience in 2005, was director of the Medical School of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (2003-2011) and since 2003 is the co-Director of the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School.
